ANGAU Memorial General Hospital is located in the city of Lae, Morobe Province.
Lae is a district as well as the provincial capital of Morobe Province making ANGAU the main entry point for all clinical cases even though it is a referral hospital with over seventy-five percent of the nation’s population with easy access to Lae.

The existing health campus sits on over 20 hectares of land including the recent acquisition of the land on the old airstrip on November 20, 2015. The National Cancer Centre and the National Orthotic & Prosthetic Centres are also located within ANGAU hospital.
The yearly patient attendance have increased to roughly around 100,000 as ANGAU serves as a district and referral hospital in the province. The hospital deserves more attention and assistance from the National Government, donor partnerships and political commitment to redirect its efforts in achieving and providing the highest standard in health service delivery to the people both the urban and rural populace.
